Coach Kenny

TriSwim Coach

Coach Kenny joins us from Manhattan New York where he began swimming his senior year of High School. It was then that he discovered his incredible passion and love for the challenging sport. His real appreciation for competitive swimming came when he was scouted by Andy Escobar and joined the Borough of Manhattan College swim team. He trained for a D1 program, which included 6-hour training days 5 times a week with swim meets every weekend. He currently is nationally ranked 8th in the 100 short course meter backstroke in his age group. As he continued to compete he decided to teach and share everything he had learned by giving back to those who love the sport as much as he. He coached at Manhattans elite pool Asphalt Green which houses Olympian Lia M. Neal Bronze medalist at the London 2012 Olympics. After a year with AG an incredible opportunity opened up for him to coach at The Spence School where he helped Varsity place 3rd and the JV team win their High school championship meet. He then moved to Southern California where he began coaching at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. It’s now become his favorite role as an athlete. Since then he has also taken on a new challenging sport, triathlons. He has raced in both the East and West coast placing top 3 in his age group and top ten overall. He now is dedicated to becoming a pro triathlete while coaching swimming privately. He has also recently shot for Nike’s 2014 competitive swim line.
